Secondary (Career and Technical)
1. Hold a bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited college or university and have completed the required courses for a teaching major, and
2. Twenty-two semester hours of credits as follows:
A. Eight semester hours of supervised teaching;
B. A course in the methods and materials of teaching a field of specialization;
C. Three semester credits in professional career and technical education courses;
D. Three semester credits in applied or work-based learning;
E. Three semester credits in a course on pupil organization and management in career and technical education;
F. Additional secondary pedagogy coursework for career and technical education programs;
G. One year of verifiable paid or unpaid work experience in a business, industry, or agency outside of K-12 education in the area of endorsement; and
H. Hold a valid license in the occupation corresponding to the endorsement area if that license is required by state law to provide services to the general public.
